Cross-Country Trails

A machined Green XC trail - Kitty Hawk -  starts out directly from the parking lot and can be ridden in a complete loop for beginners. Kitty Hawk can also be connected to the Blue or Intermediate XC - Auto-Pilot - trail that is full of flow, quick downhill sections and plenty of speed punctuated by mild climbs.

Gravity Terminal

The Flight Deck is the main attraction as a giant wooden deck built on top of a shipping container with a huge wooden roll into the Blue or Intermediate jump line and a cambered drop and gap that starts out the Black or Expert line.

Adjacent to the deck is a Green or Beginner jump line that gives you a great bit of leeway to get your dirt jumping legs under you.

Through the shipping container are a series of fast downhill lines with some gnarly jumps and gaps.

Lastly, there is a HUGE BMX jump section at the B.A.R. Trails where you'll sometimes see BMXers full on sending it.

How To Access The Gravity Terminal/B.A.R. Trails

How to easily get to the Gravity Terminal and the B.A.R. Trails at Charlotte Airline Bike Park.

Kitty Hawk

This cross-country loop starts directly from the parking lot. Accessible and fun, it provides a gentle ride with minimal technical obstacles, with some optional blue difficulty sections. It operates permanently in a one way direction and is how you get to Auto-Pilot on both odd and even days.

Auto-Pilot

A flowing, intermediate cross-country trail that connects seamlessly with Kitty Hawk. It keeps the pace engaging by offering quick, sweeping downhill sections and rolling speed punctuated by mild, punchy climbs. The riding direction alternates daily and both directions provide great sections in their own right. The trail Layover connects Co-Pilot to Auto-Pilot.

Co-Pilot

A connector trail with Auto-Pilot, this intermediate cross-country singletrack continues the park's fast, flowing design. Co-Pilot follows the park's even and odd day trail flow direction. The trail Layover connects Co-Pilot to Auto-Pilot.

Layover

Layover is a connector trail that joins Auto-Pilot to Co-Pilot, and will flow naturally depending on the odd/even day that you are riding Auto-Pilot.

Concourse A

Acting as a primary artery of the park, this wide, two-way connector path links the main parking area directly to the core trailheads. It allows riders to efficiently navigate between the cross-country loops and the Gravity Terminal without needing to pedal through the singletrack.

Concourse B

This two-way access route branches off to connect the deeper sections of the cross-country network. It serves as a highly convenient bailout point or shortcut, allowing riders to easily bypass specific singletrack segments and head back toward the main park hubs if they are short on time.

Concourse C

Situated deep in the park's western edge, this short, multi-use connector trail links different sections of Co-Pilot and Layover. It gives riders a quick, straightforward transit option to adjust their cross-country route on the fly without having to commit to riding an entire additional loop.

Baggage Claim

Serving as the main return route from the bottom of the Gravity Terminal, this dedicated path provides a straightforward pedal back toward the main hub and parking lot. It offers an easy, low-stress spin to cool down after hitting the aggressive downhill jump lines.

Go Around

This dedicated, directional climbing trail provides the sole uphill route back to the top of the Gravity Terminal. It features a steady, winding pedal designed to efficiently get riders back up to Concourse B for another lap at the Gravity terminal (right) or to exit to the parking lot (left).

Flight School

Green jump line with progressively bigger tables allowing for riders to work up their confidence on jumps. It is heavily groomed and allows newer riders to safely build air-time confidence before moving up to the bigger jumps on Spruce Goose.

Spruce Goose

Very fun Blue jump line that starts off on the Flight Deck and leads to progressively bigger table tops, a massive step down, and ends with a drop that is mostly rollable.

Airline

The trails namesake Black jump line that features a mandatory cambered drop to start leading to several sizeable jumps, a huge step up, and an optional, large drop into a hip jump. Incredibly fun and sessionable, with multiple cut out points along the way.

Escape Maneuver

Short and flowy black downhill line featuring sizeable, optional gap jumps. Highly recommend a preride for the last gap jump near the end to understand the speed needed and the landing afterwards.

Roger Roger

This highly aggressive black diamond downhill line is strictly for experienced gravity riders. It prioritizes raw speed and bike control, requiring riders to successfully clear a demanding wooden gap jump while carrying heavy momentum down the steep fall line.

Turbulence

A black diamond tech trail built specifically for advanced riders. This steep, aggressive downhill line features highly technical natural terrain mixed with mandatory gap jumps. It demands absolute speed, precise bike handling, and serious commitment from top to bottom to safely clear the high-consequence drops.

Divebomb

Operating as a blue-rated tech trail, this route offers a steep but manageable descent. It features tight corners, heavy roots, and natural drops, giving intermediate riders a solid taste of gravity-fed technical riding without the stress of the mandatory gap features found on the advanced lines.

Split-S

This aggressive black diamond track seamlessly integrates mandatory gap jumps with highly technical, raw terrain. Built strictly for experienced downhill riders, the course requires total commitment through steep fall lines and root-filled sections to successfully clear its fast-paced features and carry speed to the bottom.

Tom Hanks

This blue-rated tech line expertly balances speed with rugged natural obstacles. By avoiding massive gap jumps, it focuses instead on raw terrain, smaller rollable drops, and tight maneuvering. It serves as an excellent stepping stone for intermediate riders looking to push their downhill technical skills further.

Enola

A severe black diamond line reserved strictly for expert gravity riders. It combines steep, unforgiving natural descents with massive, high-speed mandatory gap jumps. The demanding track requires aggressive handling and complete commitment to navigate its high-risk features effectively.
